This was the worst urgent care treatment I have ever received. I went there with a UTI and the NP walked in, confirmed that I had a UTI and gave me a prescription without asking me a single question about my symptoms or my UTI history. When I asked her why this medication was 10 days instead of 7, like the medication I've used in the past, she said this one would effectively treat it. I took the medication and right after completing the dosage, I came down with a terrible full-body allergic reaction. I called my insurance company's Dial Care and was connected to an MD within minutes. He asked me a series of question regarding symptoms, whether I had tried Benadry (I had), and then prescribed steroids. I did not know I was allergic to this type of penicillin and I realize that I should have requested the same medication I've used in the past, but there was simply not the opportunity. The NP came in, told me she had called in the script, and sent me on my way. The urgent care center even bungled the script. After an hour, it still had not arrived at the pharmacy, so I returned to get a paper copy. The receptionist told me it can take up to 3 hours to reach the pharmacy digitally. I wish they had told me that before I left. I will not be returning!
