When I clicked on Book It on your website, the circle icon spun and spun as if it didn't make the appt. I went through the appt process again with the same result. Later I had a text saying I DID have the appt. But when I checked in, the receptionist said the appt was NOT in the system. It was Urgent Care and she was able to get me in 2 hrs later...

Other than a 45 minute wait despite having an appointment it was good due to staff. There are. I chairs in waiting room that disabled people like me can use. They all swivel. I suggest you get a solid chair with arms to show you care about your patients. Very unsafe.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis is a serious condition that affects the liver. It's crucial for certain groups of people to get tested due to their increased risk of contracting the disease. These groups include individuals who have had unprotected sex with multiple partners, drug users who share needles, healthcare workers, individuals with tattoos or piercings done with unsterilized equipment, and those who have traveled to or lived in countries with high rates of hepatitis. Additionally, people born between 1945 and 1965 are recommended to get tested for Hepatitis C, as they are five times more likely to be infected.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is critical to prevent the spread of the disease and to ensure early treatment. Hepatitis can lead to serious health complications, including cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure. Early detection can help prevent these complications and improve the quality of life for those living with the disease. According to the CDC, an estimated 2.4 million people in the United States are living with Hepatitis C, but many are unaware of their infection.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another reliable option for hepatitis testing. They can provide comprehensive care and follow-up after the test. If you have a primary care provider in Citrus Heights or the surrounding area, consider reaching out to them for testing.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Free STD testing and community health centers provide accessible testing options, particularly for those with financial constraints. These centers are designed to serve the community and often offer other health services in addition to testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another convenient option for hepatitis testing. These kits can be ordered online and used in the privacy of your own home. They offer quick results and can be a good option for those who prefer not to visit a healthcare facility.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Citrus Heights

As part of Sacramento County, the prevalence of hepatitis in Citrus Heights reflects broader trends in the region. While specific data for Citrus Heights is not readily available, Sacramento County has seen an increase in hepatitis cases in recent years, mirroring a national trend. It's important for residents to stay informed about these trends and consider getting tested, particularly if they fall into one of the high-risk groups.
