Horrible! I would not recommend! I took my daughter there very concerned about some spots on her back. Dr. Valentina Ruzecki came in and glanced at her back. She did not do what I consider normal routine when doctors check heart beat and breathing, glands etc. which have always been done at EVERY visit whether it be at any urgent care facility or regular doctor visit. She proceeded to ask my daughter many questions and repeated some of the same questions hinting at abuse. I told her I was very concerned and she proceeded to say the she was very concerned(not concerned in the same way I was) too and left the room. I thought she was going to speak to another doctor to get a second look....NO , she came back and told me I needed to take my daughter to CHKD NORFOLK and speak to a Case Worker since it is possible she is being abused and they were aware we were coming. I told her all I wanted was blood work to check that my daughter is ok and that the spots are not anything more serious! My daughter started crying since she doesn't like needles and the Dr. told her it was best not to cry as it may make things worse for the case worker. I was calm the entire time and caused no issues. I can completely understand the need to care about a child for abuse, I understand, however, my daughter was not checked out properly and my request for blood work was not done. Had that all been done and then I was told that protocol is for CPS to be contacted, great I understand if that is protocol, however to assume my daughter is being abused is outrageous without even checking her out! Side note....CHKD Norfolk will get a review as well since upon arriving there completely rude staff, unclean ER and 4 hour wait and daughter still didn't end up getting seen I took her to Patient First with TOP NOTCH service
