The wait time was over two hours, not good! However, watching the girl at the desk handle a steady stream of people coming in wanting a walk in Covid test was a lesson in what patience is all about. People were sick and annoyed they weren’t taking any more walk ins that day and she was unbelievably sweet to them all, even the ones that didn’t deserve it! I’d recommend this clinic even though I had a terrible wait time. It is Covid Crazy right now.

Walked in at 4 yesterday, with ear congestion, not an emergency situation, they explained the wait time and option to book an appointment the following day,so I chose 9am following day. I was able to easily schedule my appointment online before leaving home. When I arrived the front desk let me know they were running 30 min behind the appointment schedule. I ended up waiting over an hour after my appointment time to be called from the waiting room. The triage nurse collected a covid/flu swab then put me in a room. The nurse practitioner walked in the room and told me my result and her plan. She didn’t seem to have any intent to touch me. I mentioned that my asthma also was also a concern. That finally prompted a physical exam. She offered me an asthma medication that is already on my home list, updated in triage. I don’t think this provider reviewed my medical history or medication list. I don’t think I would have gotten a physical exam if I hadn’t spoke up.

I went in the morning with a respiratory illness as my doctor couldn’t work me in and it was Friday. I was weak with several days of illness. Didn’t realize urgent care scheduled appointments only. Had to wait until 6:15pm. I’m not in frequent need of urgent care. Now I know. The staff was excellent from the front desk woman who explained the scheduling process via text through the intake tech to the doctor.  Have only needed urgent care 1x before so kudos to this Prescott NextCare staff!

This was my first visit and overall it was very good. The nurse and PA were outstanding; they were professional while also kind and insightful. The clinic was supposed to open at 8:45 am but did not open until about a minute after 9 am. I was impressed with the receptionist's ability to switch between fluent English and Spanish. The building and waiting areas are not much to look at, but the care was excellent, which is the important part.

Everything went well and everyone was so kind. I did have to call later in the day to ask a question about pyridium and to see if I could get a script because I was concerned the Azo was not Interstitial Cystitis friendly and the ones I had at home were expired. The receptionist said she would get back to me after consulting the Dr. I didn't receive a phone call. That won't keep me from going there again if I need to.
