I took my daughter to the on 9/12/19 as she had strep. I have a health savings account from which I pay our medical bills. Before I was even sent the first bill in the mail, I began making payments and continued to do so every pay period. On January 6, I paid the balance in fulI, yet on 1/14/20 I get a call that the balance was turned over collections. I'm like hold up, that was paid in full last week. And besides I have made consistent payments starting even before I was billed. How was this turned over to collections? I was aghast to learn that since I had not agreed to THEIR payment plan, which I was not even aware of, that they turned my account over to collections on January 9th and potentially damaged my credit unnecessarily and without any warning or cause. And this despite the fact that the balance was already paid in full before they turned it over. Livid doesn't even begin to express how I'm feeling.
