Serving as a primary care provider in the Lawrence area, First Med Family & Walk-in sees mostly an appointment-driven patient population, however, they may support walk-in patients during certain hours. It appears as though their practice is routinely open 7 days a week at their clinic located at 2323 Ridge Ct with today's hours being 8:00AM to 6:00PM. It is certainly best to call the clinic to schedule an appointment, or ask about walk-in availability.

Reasonable wait for a walk-in. Listen to patient input to get to the priority. Would be nice if later hours a day or two, but understandable. Good follow up with phone call.

I have been a patient for a while, though the Drs. are not my primary care doctors. I went here because I could get in quickly with a walk-in visit vs. waiting for a week or longer at the primary care doctor's office. I have never had any problems until this week. About two weeks ago the pharmacy called in one of my maintenance medications for a new prescription. Crickets. A week later I called and left a message. Nothing. My husband called a day later.. We finally received a message over the weekend that I needed to see the Dr. before the prescription would be refilled. I drove across town for a walk-in visit, willing to wait my turn. When I got there, I was told that the doctor could not see me for two days and that I would have to call the nurse to even get medication to last for those two days. I was in the office but could not talk to the nurse. When we called, we received the answering machine. We are now waiting for an answer. This medication keeps my asthma under control. I have now been out of the medication for 5 days. I am not impressed with this
