Highly Rated

Restore Health Urgent Care - 1840 Eldron Blvd SE, Palm Bay
. The front desk staff was friendly but the nurse taking vitals etc acted like it was an imposition the I was there. I was finally seen one hour and 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Unfortunately the nurse Practioner was not able to help so overall it was a negative experience.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, individuals who should consider getting tested for hepatitis include those who have been exposed to the virus, including anyone who has had sexual contact with an infected person, shared needles or syringes, or received a blood transfusion before 1992. Additionally, healthcare and public safety workers at risk for exposure to blood or blood-contaminated body fluids should also consider testing. Individuals born between 1945 and 1965, commonly known as baby boomers, are also recommended to get tested as they are five times more likely to have hepatitis C.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Early detection can help prevent these complications and the spread of the virus to others. Furthermore, hepatitis often shows no symptoms until the liver damage is advanced, making regular testing essential for those at risk.
