I have used MEDcare/Health First three times in the past two years (twice for Covid testing) and found them to be professional, efficient, and caring. Very good service.

Check the reviews on Google -- the reviews here on Solv are small in number, and appear vastly skewed. Today I had a great visit late on a Sunday at Health First - Mt. Pleasant. Check-in online was smooth and easy. Final check-in at the front counter was a breeze. Very little wait at any point throughout the clinic. Vitals check-in smooth & professional. Provider exam smooth & professional. Went in for sore throat, got tested on-site for strep and for covid, both strep and covid ruled out based on rapid test results. Diagnosis delivered expertly, along with followup instructions and prescription. For a staff who knew nothing of me before I walked in the door, the whole experience was unsurpassable.

Can someone kindly contact me ASAP as to why I'm being charged $500 for a COVID test that I was never even given results for? I came in in December and was told it would cost $75 without insurance, and agreed to pay that amount after specifically confirming the cost with the front desk. I paid the $75, took the test, and was told that I would get my results back within 3 days, but never heard from anyone and never received any information about accessing the online portal. I called and left voicemails daily following my visit and was not able to reach anyone. I never received my results, so I quarantined anyways and thankfully so, as I did end up having COVID. I've tried contacting the billing number and was unable to get through to anyone, yet again.

Awful! They do not care. They wanted almost $200 upfront. I have Medicare! I watched them take over $100 from a man in front of me, who was also shocked at cost. I told her I didn't have it and she said OK, BYE. Unbelievable!

Don't go here. After long wait, strange "care" they ignored my HIPAA directive & kept calling but wouldn't leave msg. When I called, the secretary screamed at me I had to go to the ER - basically told me I was dying based on blood tests. I went, spent 10 hours there, finally got told I was OK, ran up a HUGE bill for the time spent waiting in an exam room for less than hour of "medical services." They said the Health First lab was done wrong, and they should have just referred me to a specialist (which I didn't get in the ER). The ER referred me to a specialist 10 days later, he said I was okay. A friend and daughter came with me, so it was 30 HOURS of our combined time in a very stressful situation until I was allowed to leave. I should never have been terrorized into going in the first place by a person who wasn't even a P.A. They have just no idea what they're doing and zero consideration for patients. They will treat you as if you're not even a human being. I don't even think they have an M.D. on duty. AVOID them. The profit margin must be huge. I'm sure they're getting a kick-back from the local ERs because apparently they frequently sent people to ER if they have insurance. Even with insurance, I'm out over $500 so far & may have more bills for no benefit to me at all.

Horrible. They scared me to death. Told me I had to go to a hospital for renal failure. Wouldn't give me my records or tell me what exactly was wrong. Two others & I spent 9 HOURS at ER. I spent $300. In total a loss of about $1000 - only to be told nothing was wrong. The level of incompetence in med care in Charleston is similar to third world countries. It's disgraceful.Health First people are idiots.

Had to take my son for a pre employment drug screen so I pulled him out of school during lunch period so he wouldn’t miss classes. Upon leaving Health First, I asked for a note to give the school to show that he was there and the told me no. The girl said that they don’t give notes for drug screening. I said that I pulled him out of school during lunch to bring him here and now I need a note to give them when I am signing him back in to show that he was here. They said that they don’t give notes because they do screenings until 5pm. I said I know you stop screenings at 5 but he has after school activity at school til 5:30 so that is why I brought him during his lunch period. The woman said do you have proof? We need proof so we need it in writing or you can call the teacher and let us talk to them. You have to prove that he has an after school activity. Who walks around with a letter from a school that states they have an after school activity? So let’s call someone at the school who has a class because everyone knows that teachers have direct lines to their classrooms and are free to talk any time. Are you kidding me?!! So now you are calling me a liar! Will never get my business as a - He was seen at your facility and b - Calling me a liar! It is not like I was asking for him to be excused from school for the day - just his lunch period.
