Short Wait Time

I had meant to leave a review the last time I had visited Unity Point Walk In. My stomach had been hurting really bad right around the same time Covid was really making its rounds. Instead of going to my family physician I made an appointment at the walk in. I was seen by Kelly, she diagnosed that I probably had appendicitis and told me to go the emergency room. Normally I would of brushed it off lucky enough I listened to her because it had ruptured. Thanks again Kelly and all the staff you are appreciated!

Short Wait Time

Been there for many blood draws and Jenny was the most efficient. One stab and the blood was there. I am a recovering Covid patient and since last November, have had my fingers pricked and veins punctured way too many times. Some times by 3 different nurses and with many attempts. Jenny is sure of herself and makes me very happy.

Short Wait Time

Short wait time. Kind staff. Would have preferred to have a "real" doctor though. The person who took care of me wouldn't believe that I had Bronchitis. She said I had a head cold even though i was coughing up green phlemn from my Lungs. She Didn't believe me! I get bronchitis at least once or twice a year for the past 30+ years. You'd think I know my own body. This was the first time a Doctor did not make my diagnosis. They need to go back to only DOCTORS so a proper diagnosis can be made.

This clinic is rated highly in reviews for their friendly staff

Friendly Staff

Referred to Amana Care by a friend yesterday. I went this morning and LOVED everything about it. This will be my new 'To Go' place. From signing in at the front desk until you walk out, the service is EXCELLENT! Very friendly staff who must enjoy their job because they are very warm, welcoming, and greet you with a smile. They get you in and out very fast with good quality care. Well worth the drive from Bettendorf.

I have been going here for a long time. They now have 2 different chiropractors. Dr Blackwood and Dr A and both are very good. They are like a well oiled machine. They all are very personable and very intelligent. I don't think I've been to another office as this is and feel like I'm being treated the same way. I couldn't be happier. We are always treated with kindness and repect.

  • Who should get a typhoid vaccine?

Anyone two weeks and older with plans to travel to or live in an area that's at high risk for typhoid, such as South Asia, Latin America and Africa, should receive a typhoid vaccine. If you are planning on traveling from Camanche out-of-country, a typhoid vaccine will be required for entry. You must be vaccinated by injection at least fourteen days before your departure date, or finish your oral vaccination regimen at least a week before your trip.

  • Are video visits available with travel vaccination specialists in Camanche?

While a typhoid vaccine cannot be administered over video, your doctor can evaluate and advise you or your child from your home in Camanche. They can discuss your travel plans, recommend and order necessary vaccinations, and book immunization appointments via telemedicine.

  • How much does a typhoid vaccine cost in Camanche?

Without insurance, a consultation, service fee and the typhoid vaccine doses will typically range from $85 to $300. With preventative insurance, you will end up paying the copay for a consultation and vaccine administration, ranging from $10 to $40. Costs will vary by clinic - book a consultation at a Camanche-area clinic to see how much a typhoid vaccine would cost for you.

  • Is a typhoid vaccine covered by my insurance?

As typhoid vaccines are considered elective, it’s not uncommon that insurance will not cover the cost of the vaccine. However, if your plan includes preventative benefits, the vaccine will usually be covered and you may only need to cover the co-pay out-of-pocket.

  • Are video visits with travel vaccination specialists covered by my insurance?

Telemedicine vaccine consultation coverage will vary depending on your circumstances. Typically, if your insurance will not cover an in-person visit, it won’t cover similar appointments via telehealth. Since the typhoid vaccine is considered elective and in-person visits are not usually covered by medical insurance, it is unlikely video visits with travel vaccination specialists will be covered.
