Sparkling Clean

The Little Clinic at Kroger - 12501 Shelbyville Rd, Middletown
I came here today for a flu test and the lady at the front was extremely nice, efficient, and administered a covid/flu test to me. The nurse was also very kind and gave me great recommendations for managing my symptoms. I wish we had one of these Little Clinics in my town. They were wonderful. And my experience is especially notable since both of these ladies were working today on a holiday. Thank you so much for your quality of care.

Getting Tested for STDs in Jeffersontown, KY

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider regular testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), especially if they have multiple partners or do not consistently use protection. This includes both heterosexual and LGBTQ+ individuals. Pregnant women should also be tested, as some STDs can cause complications during pregnancy or be passed to the baby. If you're in Jeffersontown, KY, or nearby cities like Fern Creek, Hurstbourne, Blue Ridge Manor, Middletown, or Hollow Creek, testing is readily available.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for maintaining your overall health, as well as the health of your sexual partners. Many STDs do not show symptoms, so you could be infected and not know it. According to the CDC, untreated STDs can lead to serious health issues such as infertility, cancer, and organ damage. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of these complications.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those with limited income, free STD testing may be available at community health centers. These facilities often operate on a sliding scale, meaning the cost of testing is based on your income.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits offer a private and convenient option. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent to a lab for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days.
