This was our first visit to this facility. My husband had a cut finger. I was very happy that we didn’t have a super long wait for service. The care was efficient and every one was very professional and courteous.

Honestly it was a very good experience. I was pleasantly surprised that the wait time was so short, and there were only two people (who appeared to be a couple) in the waiting room. There was an option to wait in your car, but at 8:30pm, the wait was so short I did not need to take that option. The waiting room was clean, comfortable, and spacious/socially distanced. Staff were pleasant, listened well, and seemed knowledgeable. Even waiting for the doctor to come to my room took less time than I’ve experienced at other Patient First locations, and I loved being able to fill my prescription right on site. I would definitely recommend the Towson Patient First to anyone.

I went in the front desk receptions was very nice an professional. The nurse who called me back was very professional. Dr. William Malone comes in after eating his breakfast at the computer and drinking his coffee while patients are waiting in each room. I tell him my problem in detail. I explained that my knee hurt even for me to touch it lightly. He goes and squeeze my knee with NO WARNING whatsoever. I screamed and by reflex touch his hand. He yells don't touch me as if I was touching him inappropriately. How stupid can he be. IT WAS REFLEX! He telling me I cannot touch him. How insensitive when a person tell you something hurt instead of gently touching first. Why would he grab and squeeze my knee (that was visible swollen). He than order the Radiologist to take an X-ray. After the results came back I am sitting in the room waiting for him again while he is watching GOLF on his computer. I tried to snap a picture because I thought how professional is this guy. I finish up. The radiologist give me the papers. Tell me to check if I was satisfied. I checked that I was not satisfied. He asked me why. I explained. He than tell me to just check the first box (the one that says satisfied) I told him I would not. He said well explain on paper why you are not satisfied. I told him and I wrote it down. He ask me if I want to go get the Dr and explain it to him. Absolutely not! I will write it in letter form

Will never go to this place ever again. In Jan of 2018- went to them wasn't feeling well. Diagnosed with pnuemonia. Antibiotics was given. Five days later still wasnt feeling well. More antibiotics. February comes and i see my cardiologist in NY. He runs test and the results come back that i need a cardiac characterization. March that was done and later discovered i need triple bypass. Jan 2019 I'm experiencing chest pains i check in . The receptionist tells me I've got a outstanding bill for the 2018 treatment cant get seen. I leave go to another urgent care the do a EKG and said you need to get to the hospital asap your in the process of having a heart attack. Get to the hospital run test cardiac characterization and had a artery blocked 90%. Call patient first upon being discharged. Come to find out that my 2018 bill which was to be paid by my insurance provider was sent to Kentucky. Which on the back of the card clearly states send all claims to the NY address stated. Also they have a sign clearly stated in red letters ley receptionist know if you're exeperincing chest pains. Unbelievable looking into legal matters!

    Is a flu shot necessary?

Everyone 6 months or older should get vaccinated for the flu every year. Influenza, or the flu, is a serious virus and infection that hospitalizes and kills thousands of people annually. And it is constantly changing. The flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your family from contracting the virus.

  • image/svg+xml image/svg+xml

Do I need to get a flu shot every year?

Flu vaccines are needed annually, primarily for two reasons. First, the flu virus is constantly evolving, meaning the virus you received a vaccine for last year is unique from the virus in the upcoming season. As such, the vaccine itself needs to be different. Second, the vaccine itself wears off and your immune system’s response to the flu virus decreases over time. Unless you receive the vaccine every year, you will lack necessary immunity.

When should I get a flu shot?

Each year is a little different, but flu season generally starts as early as September. Getting a flu shot early in the season - August to October - gives your buddy the best opportunity to build up immunity to the virus as it does take roughly two weeks for the vaccine to protect you against infection. Of course, if you are unable to get the flu shot early, getting a flu shot later still helps as the virus could last through May.

  • image/svg+xml image/svg+xml

How effective is the flu shot?

Each year, the CDC and other organizations conduct studies to determine the effectiveness of the flu vaccine against that years flu virus. According to the CDC, recent studies show that flu vaccination reduces the risk of flu illness by between 40% and 60%. Of course, there are multiple types and strands of the flu virus including influenza B and influenza A(H1N1), as well as influenza A(H3N2). Generally speaking, flu shots tend to work better against influenza types A & B.

  • image/svg+xml image/svg+xml

How long does a flu shot last?

The flu vaccine lasts for one flu season as the virus constantly evolves and each year the vaccine is produced to specifically protect against the strand(s) that are prevalent in the upcoming flu season.

  • image/svg+xml image/svg+xml

How much does a flu shot cost?

Depending on where you get your flu vaccine, what type of vaccine you are getting, and whether or not you are insured, flu shot costs vary. Generally speaking, however, flu shots can cost between $0 and $50, sometimes more.

  • image/svg+xml image/svg+xml

Is a flu shot covered by insurance?

Your health insurance must cover the flu vaccine, as well as other vaccines, without a copayment or coinsurance. However, check with your insurance company to see if the vaccine must be administered at a specified location.
