Unfortunately I have been there a few times due to a sinus infection from a bad cold. The doctors they are don’t want to treat me because I don’t have a primary PCP. Our insurance is horrible and we have a $4000 deductible. Our insurance is basically a savings plan and we have two children in our medical expenses has caused us to have a very large financial burden. I cannot afford Care and my children come first before me. The doctors at MedExpress always give me a hard time and tell me next time they’re not going to treat me. Even though I try to explain to them our financial situation. I understand that I need to get a PCP but unfortunately to have my file transferred from one place to another is going to cost $50. And finding a good doctor these days is very difficult. The $50 is this something I can use to feed my children. And I’m not exactly decided where I want to go seeing that finding a good doctor is so difficult in our area. And I don’t like the idea that when you do set up to see your new PCP that you have a pre-appointment before a pre-appointment and the next thing you know you’re getting charged $199 for this visit that’s a big waste of time. I understand that’s how these things work these days but it doesn’t work out for people who are financially strapped so it’s cheaper to come to med express then have a file transferred and have two doctors visits that are a waste of time before they’ll actually see you to treat you for what’s wrong. I need to have a surgery to have my sinuses and eat canals opened but I can’t afford an $4000.00 deductible. Even though I have explained this time and time again they still give me a hard time! And they treat me not so good. Think that they’re forgetting that they’re there to make people better when they need help. I’m not some crazy person that’s looking to get medication to get high or anything else like that I just want to feel better and usually when I go in I’m not far off from having pneumonia. I need to go in now and I’m nervous to go in. I’m going to another location today but the notes from the doctor show up in your files so no matter where I go they see notes and history. I just wish there was help for people like me :( I have to say that the receptionists are nice there. But you can tell when people talk when I have been there that the nurses also treat you differently once the doctor sees me. There is no professionalism. And quite honestly, I think for the dr. She has lost her focus about what’s most important for her job and treats me like I’m a problem and there’s this air about her like she’s sick of people. She’s forgetting not everyone is the same and her attitude is cold.
