Friendly Staff

AFC Urgent Care, Southpoint - 6400 Fayetteville Rd
Came in to the urgent care with an online appointment scheduled. I have been here several times. I have insurance, which was verified by the office, but the front desk girl said I was required to have a credit card on file but couldn’t tell me why. She did say it would be on file in your system for FIVE years. Not only does that seem to be a crazy ask with verified insurance, she could explain why the card was needed or why it would be on file for years. Makes me question things for sure…. The provider was great but first impression needs improvement.

Who should get tested for syphilis?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get syphilis, but it is particularly prevalent among men who have sex with men, individuals with multiple sexual partners, and those who engage in unprotected sex. Pregnant women should also be tested for syphilis, as the disease can have severe complications for both the mother and baby.

Importance of getting tested
