Highly Rated

Dawson Med Urgent Care, Wilmington - 608 Dawson St
My whole experience was outstanding! From the front desk personnel to the med tech who brought me back on my scheduled appointment time it was very professional. Dr on duty was very personable and listened intently to the reason I was in. I have only been in Wilmington for 6 months and this was the first time requiring such a service. I will definitely keep this place in mind if a need should arise for me or a family member. Very convenient location too (1.1 miles) from condo.👍

Short Wait Time

Carrie and her entire team are fabulous in every way. I highly recommend Coastal Carolina Care. I have lived in Hampstead for over 20 years and I've had several general practitioner doctors but Coastal Carolina Care is far and away the best practice of which I've ever been a patient.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone can contract hepatitis, but certain groups are at a higher risk. These include individuals who have been in close contact with someone infected with hepatitis, those who have engaged in unprotected sex, drug users who share needles, healthcare workers, and people with multiple sexual partners. If you fall into any of these categories, it's critical to get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to serious health complications such as liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection through testing can help prevent these complications and enable successful treatment. Furthermore, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the disease to others.

It's also worth noting that the rates of hepatitis in Wilmington have been on a steady rise over the past decade.
