I visited the next care facility at william cannon drive at Austin. With deep disappointment I have to say the experience has been nothing short of horrible. I came in with COVID positive result and had my appointment at 5pm on 04/06/2022. I had severe symptoms including fever, throat infection and body ache. I requested that it was almost 2 hrs due over my appointment time and I badly needed some rest going back home. The staffs and doctors were insensitive to say the least, kept giving excuses about their busy schedule. As a customer visiting a medical facility these are things which I have nothing to do with. There were hardly 1-2 patients in the line and they kept reiterating the answer "we will do as fast as we can". I see the centre to be a textbook example of inefficiency, with the receptionist always toying with mobile phone and staff who doesn't understand pipelining of procedures to avoid wait times. My kids were waiting all the time in the car and the staff were completely apathetic to it. Inspire spending so much on medical bills this kind of treatment is unacceptable. I would be happy to provide more details if needed. I sincerely hope the relevant parties be actively held accountable. It was my first time visiting the facility and very likely this would be the last.

Tried to get in on Monday but due to long wait times we made an appt online for first available, Thur at 10:00. Checked in while in parking lot at 9:54 a.m. Was seen at 11:04. The website indicated they were seeing 13 walk-ins and had 15 appts before us?! We were told that due to this they were 30 mins behind schedule. So much for maki g an appt and waiting 4 days. When called back at 11:04, Nurse asked a few questions knowing we were there for a PCR test but instead of being proficient and ready to do her job, she left the room and made us wait another 15 mins for a 5 second nose swab. Absolutely would not recommend mostly due to wait time and lack of communication. I am sure our medical society is burned out and overworked. Therefore run your practice more proficiently and be communicative during these times. We are all burnt out and we all have busy lives.

I’ve never been to a doctor, told them what was going on, and then THEY asked ME what I wanted to do next. No diagnosis, no advice. Just did I want a flu test? Covid test? No, I just told them I had a negative covid test 3 days ago and really think I have food poisoning. Why would the diagnosis be asking me if I wanted a flu test? It was the craziest experience. I was just standing there dumbfounded when it was going on. I continued asking questions until some kind of information was provided and even that was mostly duplicate of what I came in asking about. The check in was super confusing as well. There was a sign on the door where you scanned and signed in online. I did it and then got a message that I was checked in. I just stood on the curb a while. Waited in the grass. There was nothing saying that we needed to wait in the car or that they would call us when it was time. I stayed in site so I would see them come because I was supposedly next in line. After 30 minutes I walked back to the door to see if there was something I missed and nope, no instruction on what the next step should be. I finally sat down in my car for a while. But I’m talking an hour I was left hanging….I did get a call. It would have been nice to tell me that I didn’t need to sit outside the door for so long since I had my baby with me the whole time.
