Quest Diagnostics - 345 Harry L Dr
I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

Blood Test FAQs

  • Where can I get a blood test in Chenango Bridge?

In general, blood tests are available at Chenango Bridge-area medical labs, urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care doctor offices, and many local pharmacies. While walk-in appointments are typically available, booking a visit online will reduce your wait time and ensure you have your blood work results sooner.

  • How can I book a blood test in Chenango Bridge?

Regardless of the kind of blood test you are seeking, Solv can help you book an appointment. Simply search for Chenango Bridge-area labs and healthcare providers, filter by the test you want and find a top-rated blood testing location. Be sure to include “blood testing” as the reason for visit.

  • Where can I get blood work after hours in Chenango Bridge?

Outside routine work hours, most Chenango Bridge labs and primary care offices are closed, however, most of the area’s urgent care and retail clinics are open later than typical business hours and on weekends. Book an after-hours visit to get prompt, no-hassle care and get your blood test results faster.

  • Can I make a same-day appointment for blood work in Chenango Bridge?

Same-day and next-day appointments for many blood tests can easily be booked directly through Solv. Simply search for Chenango Bridge-area providers, find a lab or draw station, and book the most convenient time for you. Be sure to include “blood work” as your reason for visit.

  • How do I find the best labs for blood testing in Chenango Bridge?

Solv gathers ratings, reviews, and other data on Chenango Bridge-area labs and healthcare providers to ensure the providers meet our high standards. Search for blood work providers, see what previous patients think, and book an appointment with a top-rated lab or clinic today!

  • Who should get a blood test?

Blood tests provide a valuable look at your overall health and blood work should be done at least once a year. They offer a great way to catch illness or disease early on, or see how you are progressing with on-going treatment. Your doctor or healthcare provider typically orders blood tests for you during an annual physical or as necessary for a specific diagnosis. It’s possible to order your own blood tests without a doctor, particularly for things like STD tests or hemoglobin A1c tests.

  • Are video visits available for blood work in Chenango Bridge?

While a blood test cannot be performed over video, your doctor can both initially prescribe blood tests using telemedicine, and review results with you virtually.

  • How much does a blood test cost in Chenango Bridge?

Without insurance, blood work typically costs between $50 to $1,000, or sometimes more depending on the specific tests and the provider type you are having the tests performed at. At-home tests are available in most areas and could cost substantially less. Book a consultation with a lab testing provider in Chenango Bridge today to get more details on the specific blood work you are looking for.

  • How long do blood tests take?

Blood tests can be performed either in-office or performed on samples that are sent to an outside lab. The collection itself should only take a few minutes, and the results could be ready within a few hours or up to one to two weeks depending on the test you are getting done. Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.

We were at Next Care to get a COVID test for our granddaughter. We did not go in the facility..doctor came out to our car. I made a reservation for 3:40. We got there at 3:25....called then waited on hold until 4:00 until we were officially checked in. At 4:05 the doctor and assistant came out to the car. They were great...helped Olivia feel comfortable(she’s 14) and waited with us until her blood pressure came down.

Dr. Riley was amazing! She was right on time, listened to my concerns, and made me feel very comfortable. The secretary and nurse, Colleen, were also kind and helpful. The phlebotomist did a blood draw that was quick and painless. Awesome group!

The ladies at the front were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I’m always nervous when I know I’m going to get blood taken and I feel that it is important to have kind staff at the front to make people feel better. As I went to the back, I was in Faith’s care and she did a spectacular job. She provided me with water and let me lay in a position that I was comfortable for her to drawl my blood. She has a really positive and welcoming Ora to her that made me feel relaxed and comfortable while in her care. If I ever come back to this CompuNet Location, I would request Faith. She’s excellent at her job and with her patients. I would recommend her and this location to my family and friends as well. Peace, love and blessings to all!

The receptionist wasn't very friendly or helpful but the nurse who took my blood sample was AWESOME! Friendly and very expert, this was one of the few times I have had blood drawn and it didn't leave my arm looking black and blue.

I think I’ve been to just about all of the compunets in my area for blood work. I really like this facility because the ladies are very friendly yet very professional. I booked my appointment through Solv

The lab technician that drew my blood has excellent skills. I’m a difficult stick and she was awesome. She got it on 1 try w/o fishing or pain! Kudos 👌🏻

I had a student drawing my blood. He was kind and gentle. Only one stick and didnt feel it. Student was supervised by a nice young woman who identified both of them first thing. I waited maybe 5 minutes and there were 4 ahead of me when I checked in. Checking in was simple. I always choose component over any other place for my blood draws.

- Verified patient on 9/13

I was consulted as to where I would like my blood drawn and since I am considered a hard stick then I gave her advice where I have had it done successfully in the past. It was quick, efficient and almost painless. Very positive experience and very good lab technician.

Excellent. Walked right in for blood work. Employees friendly and efficient. Didn't even feel the stick of the needle. Always use Compunet for blood work. Location is very convenient.

The professional who drew my blood was outstanding! She was kind, gentle and this is honestly the beat draw I’ve ever received. Absolutely no pain and very quick. Please give her my thanks and my best. She is a true hero during these stressful times.

I'm a hard stick when it comes to blood draws, but the ladies here was very kind and fun to work with, which makes the process so much easier! Thank you!

Wonderful tech drew my blood. She was so friendly and professional. My. blood draw was absolutely pain free. I usually go to the Claypool Building location. However, Lincoln Park is my new go to.

The woman that did my blood test at the UH health center on Lorain Rd. In N Ridgevile was awesome. Might be the best blood draw I've ever had. No pain and now no bruising.

I went to have some blood tests. There were 2 people. The first looked at my arms and could not find a vein and wanted to take the blood from my hands. I said no. The first person then said to the other person that she needed to take a look because the first couldn't find a vein. I felt she really didn't look. The 2nd person found one and with one stick, got the vials she needed. She was very good.

- Verified patient on 4/1

My veins often collapse which means several jabs to find blood. The phlebotomist was brilliant. Used a non standard needle which was much smaller which minimizes vein collapse. Got blood for all 5 bottles in first try. Totally painless. Very friendly too. Thank you.

Wonderful! Staff knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Dr Jenny was patient with me, listen to my concerns and very helpful. Today went to the lab for blood work. Same care. Very helpful and caring.

I had booked an appointment, but I went early to see if I could get in earlier. I did. I was very happy. The place is clean, chairs are situated to keep people at a distance, and the staff is very friendly and efficient . This is my go-to place when I need blood work.

This was my first experience at UH Amherst. I was very impressed with my care. Crissy drew my blood ~ was very caring, knowledgeable. My veins are tiny and try to hide I gave her an A++ and thanked her for her ability.

I really like having Compunet of Vandalia close to my home. I know there will be some wait time to have my blood drawn but I know that and okay with what is usually a short wait. The staff has always been friendly with me! They are very knowledgeable and easily answer my questions. The phlebotomists are experienced and professional.

I will start off by saying I have used this urgent care a few times and have been extremely happy with the care we have received. However, this one is a different story. I made an appointment due to high fevers, body aches, and chest discomfort of 5 days. The sweet LPN who took care of me listened to my concerns. She decided to swab me for the flu. As she was taking my swab to get tested the APN opened the door to our room. She was speaking to the LPN she said “did you get a PCR on her, this is probably COVID, not the flu”. I had explained to the APN that I had just tested negative for COVID two days ago, that I really did not think that’s what this was. She got a rapid COVID test which was negative. She then said she would send it off for PCR and that it would probably be positive and that’s what we were dealing with. I asked her for a chest X-ray. She stated “your lungs sound fine”. She offered to draw blood work, I agreed. She sent us on our way telling us it was most likely COVID and that we would get the results tomorrow. My husband left from the urgent care and brought me to the ED where I am admitted for double pneumonia and having a sepsis work up. I’m glad I advocated for myself and didn’t settle for a COVID diagnosis. If I would of waited too much longer I’m scared about how much worse it would of gotten. I think it’s always wise to listen to your patients and not jump to one conclusion so fast ( and yes I have been fully vaccinated for COVID as well). But I am thankful for the sweet LPN who seemed as she was concerned!

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Chenango Bridge-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.
