Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Blood Test FAQs

  • Where can I get a blood test in Summers?

In general, blood tests are available at Summers-area medical labs, urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care doctor offices, and many local pharmacies. While walk-in appointments are typically available, booking a visit online will reduce your wait time and ensure you have your blood work results sooner.

  • How can I book a blood test in Summers?

Regardless of the kind of blood test you are seeking, Solv can help you book an appointment. Simply search for Summers-area labs and healthcare providers, filter by the test you want and find a top-rated blood testing location. Be sure to include “blood testing” as the reason for visit.

  • Where can I get blood work after hours in Summers?

Outside routine work hours, most Summers labs and primary care offices are closed, however, most of the area’s urgent care and retail clinics are open later than typical business hours and on weekends. Book an after-hours visit to get prompt, no-hassle care and get your blood test results faster.

  • Can I make a same-day appointment for blood work in Summers?

Same-day and next-day appointments for many blood tests can easily be booked directly through Solv. Simply search for Summers-area providers, find a lab or draw station, and book the most convenient time for you. Be sure to include “blood work” as your reason for visit.

  • How do I find the best labs for blood testing in Summers?

Solv gathers ratings, reviews, and other data on Summers-area labs and healthcare providers to ensure the providers meet our high standards. Search for blood work providers, see what previous patients think, and book an appointment with a top-rated lab or clinic today!

  • Who should get a blood test?

Blood tests provide a valuable look at your overall health and blood work should be done at least once a year. They offer a great way to catch illness or disease early on, or see how you are progressing with on-going treatment. Your doctor or healthcare provider typically orders blood tests for you during an annual physical or as necessary for a specific diagnosis. It’s possible to order your own blood tests without a doctor, particularly for things like STD tests or hemoglobin A1c tests.

  • Are video visits available for blood work in Summers?

While a blood test cannot be performed over video, your doctor can both initially prescribe blood tests using telemedicine, and review results with you virtually.

  • How much does a blood test cost in Summers?

Without insurance, blood work typically costs between $50 to $1,000, or sometimes more depending on the specific tests and the provider type you are having the tests performed at. At-home tests are available in most areas and could cost substantially less. Book a consultation with a lab testing provider in Summers today to get more details on the specific blood work you are looking for.

  • How long do blood tests take?

Blood tests can be performed either in-office or performed on samples that are sent to an outside lab. The collection itself should only take a few minutes, and the results could be ready within a few hours or up to one to two weeks depending on the test you are getting done. Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.

I’m known for passing out when giving blood but the ladies that were there on 10-29 were GREAT! They kept having conversations with me to make sure I didn’t! and they were as fast as can be!

- Verified patient on 12/14

The first person I encountered wasn’t as friendly but another person came up and she was Very Friendly and Helpful, Also the person that drew my blood was Awesome! Thanks

- Verified patient on 9/16

My nurse practitioners visit seemed uncaring, vague, and quick. I went in for symptoms of low blood sugar and symptoms of possible anemia. According to the medical student my blood sugar test suggested my level was a little low but nothing serious. When my doctor came in she said my sugar levels were great along with my blood pressure. ( it was actually high considering my normal rarely goes above 110 and my diastolic is always lower than 90) When I asked her to check my hemoglobin levels she told me to go to my primary care doctor. I waited a very long time for discharge paperwork especially considering nothing was wrong with me. They forgot I was in there and didn’t know they haven’t given me my paperwork.

- Verified patient on 2/8

I banged my knee cap hard after slipping hiking on some jagged rocks. To make maters worse, I had to be at a wedding immediately. The doctor stitched me up and was friendly. I showed up bloody in swimming trunks and a t shirt. After the stitches I changed in their bathroom and left in a suit and tie!! Too funny. I greatly appreciated them getting this done especially on a Sunday.

- Verified patient on 5/10

My doctor is always friendly and goes through my issues. Blood lab lady was super nice and made it all easy.

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Summers-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.
