Went to Chambersburg hospital. Total waste of time. My husband was bleeding badly. I was told by nurse he needed to be triaged before he was seen. He’s on blood thinner so this was critical. I was on the phone with my neighbor she called this Urgent care facility and we got right in. The people there are fabulous. Don’t waste your time at the hospital ... It’s a joke.

Waynesboro Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but the infection is particularly common in young people. It's recommended that sexually active women under the age of 25, as well as older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, or a sex partner who has a sexually transmitted infection, get tested for chlamydia annually. Men who have sex with men should also get tested for chlamydia regularly.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often asymptomatic, meaning it does not show any symptoms. Therefore, testing is crucial to detect and treat the infection before it can cause serious health problems. If left untreated, chlamydia can lead to serious health complications like pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can cause permanent damage to the reproductive system and lead to long-term pelvic pain, infertility, and ectopic pregnancy. In men, untreated chlamydia can cause infection in the urethra and epididymis, potentially leading to infertility.
