Went to a pediatric urgent care center so that docs would specialize in children. My child had worsening/non stop coughing, and was in day 3/4 of an illness which is a sign of RSV, which apparently circulating at high rates among older children this year. This possibility was never raised as a part of the diagnosis conversation. We left with a treatment plan of atypical pnuemonia with antibiotics which felt like a bit of a guess and still with uncontrolled coughing. We ended up in the ER about 8 hours later with breathing distress from the coughing and ultimately an RSV diagnosis. Doing a nebulizer treatment likely would have turned the tide likely, or given a more accurate treatment plan. Only mentioning in case it helps treat other patients.

So we get there at 12:55. There was like 3 or 4 kids in the waiting room. The girl at the front desk said it would be an hour wait. I asked if we could go right next door to the grocery store while waiting. She said yea no problem. We got back there around 1:45 ish. There was 1 little girl there with her mom. (she was not any of the ones that were there earlier) I was like perfect we’ll be next… nope she got called back. Another person walked in, checked in, and got called back!!! I was ready to walk up and ask what was going on but then of course, my son pooped 😑 so we go back to the bathroom, there’s no changing table in there. Back by all the patient rooms was a nurses station. I said to the one girl sitting there, “is there anywhere I can change him?” She goes “yea the bathroom is right there” I said “yea but there’s no changing table in there” She said “oh ok well you can change him in your room” I said “well we haven’t been assigned a room yet”. Keep in mind there was at least 10 empty rooms! She proceeds to say to me “well I guess you could change him in your car” 😮 I’m sorry, but are you serious?!? Turns out, the person that told me that, was the doctor. Then after trying to confirm multiple times which pharmacy they were sending my sons prescription to, and driving to said pharmacy, it ended up not being there! 😡 Overall, HORRIBLE experience. Staff was somewhat nice, at a minimum !

The wait and check in was easy and the receptionist was friendly. There were a lot of kids coming in to be seen, so probably good to make an appointment first. We were taken back by a tech who was abrupt And just kept talking louder and louder over my daughter who is one and was scared and screaming. The tech didn’t say anything nice to my daughter…..all business. The doctor was nice and I didn’t have complaints…..just the tech. The tech soured our experience big time. And I was disappointed that the only swab offered was Covid (two types). I think what my daughter needed was a full flu/RSV/respiratory viral swab. This facility only offered Covid swabs.

I made a 9:30pm appt for my 10 month old daughter to have a COVID test. I was actually available a little sooner than anticipated so went in at 8pm to see if maybe she could be seen earlier since it is a walk-in clinic. The receptionist said there was a wait, I asked about how long and she said there were 3 people ahead of me. Instead of waiting around for an hour and a half, I said well I can leave now to run an errand and be back well before they close. She told me they weren’t taking any more walk-ins at that point even though it was 4 hours before closing time. So I told her I would wait in my car, still hoping that we could get in before our appt time. While sitting in my car, I saw 2 patients walk in who did not immediately come back out. So at 9:15pm, after watching the second patient walk in, I decided to go inside to see why they weren’t told they weren’t accepting any more walk-ins? I sat in the waiting area long enough to watch both patients be taken in the back. The receptionist finally came out front and said well they had serious injuries so they had to be seen. I then questioned why she didn’t explain that earlier? She didn’t say, we’re only accepting serious injuries, she said we’re not accepting any more walk-ins. I told her I didn’t appreciate being lied to and she denied that she lied and proceeded to argue with me. To me, not being 100% truthful or upfront is equivalent to lying. I left and decided to wait in the car and let my husband stay inside with our daughter. He waited an additional hour and wasn’t called in the back until 10:15pm; 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment and after over 2 hours of waiting. During that time, no one apologized or said ANYTHING to him. You can imagine how restless a 10 month old is at that time, her bedtime, especially after waiting for over 2 hours. Knowing all she needed was a COVID test and seeing that I was not happy, why not just take her back there and perform the test, which literally takes 5 minutes? After being taken in the back, my daughter was given the COVID test but my husband was then told he had to wait to be discharged. He then waited an additional 20-30 minutes in the room before they allowed them to leave. He had to come outside and find someone to ask, what they were waiting for. It turns out, they did not perform her vitals so he had to wait for that to be done before they were able to leave. We spent THREE HOURS at your clinic for a simple COVID test but the doctor only spent a total of 10 minutes max actually seeing my daughter (5 min to perform the test, 5 min to perform the vitals…and that’s being generous). No one apologized for the wait or the poor customer service. I am HIGHLY disappointed and will not be going back. That location needs additional staff to assist with patients and also needs a lesson in customer service training. I wish I could give less than 1 star.

My husband took our children there to be tested. They did not offer rapid Covid tests and they charged him for an urgent care visit for both children even though they were only there for tests and received no other treatment. They tried to get my husband to agree to a more expensive “rapid pcr” test that would get results in less time, but still provide no test results at the visit. They refused to test my husband along with the children even though that is a service they once provided. And it’s impossible to speak to anyone at the front desk if you call.
