I signed my husband up for an urgent care visit at this location due to him having elevated blood pressure associated with a headache. My husbands health was not of emergent care however, it was best for him to be seen at the local urgent care. My husband arrived ( I had to stay home with our children at this time) and was seen by staff. He was told by the nurse after taking his blood pressure that he should've went to the emergency room for treatment. My husband was not displaying any life threatening symptoms. The doctor seen my husband they rechecked his blood pressure with a manual blood pressure cuff and his blood pressure had a lower reading yet still higher than what it should be. My husband was given a print out of a low salt diet, told to exercise and even at one point was told his blood pressure being high maybe due to the "white coat" factor. My husband blood pressure was elevated prior to being seen by a doctor or nurse with a white coat. Needless to say after almost two hours or my husband being at this urgent care not one tylenol was given to treat his headache or not one blood pressure pill was given or prescribed until he was able to see his primary doctor. This is very disturbing to think that a patient going into be treated at an urgent care left the same way he came in. As far as my husband exercising and his diet, this man is less than 200 pounds and has a diet that consists of a maximum of two meals a day. It is very clear that his blood pressure being elevated is more genetic vs life factors. This was a waste of my husbands time and a wasteful use of his insurance. My husband should've been treated better.
