I have visited St. Joseph's Urgent Care in Orange several times for different reasons. I love being able to schedule my appointment online so I don't have to wait long when I arrive. The various doctors have been patient, compassionate and quick to diagnose.

Absolutely the worst service and customer care. I went to urgent care here over 2 weeks ago. The PA they had see me told me my symptoms (extreme spinal pressure and pain, upper left abdominal bloating, pulsing and pressure, and circulation issues in my legs including swelling, twitching, and discoloring) were caused by a UTI. I’ve had many UTIs in my life, NEVER have I had these symptoms, nor was I experiencing any symptoms of a UTI. But she put me on antibiotics and then issued STAT requests for blood, an abdominal ultrasound, and to see a rheumatologist. I stood in line as soon as I left urgent care to get my blood test. I called the number the doctor gave me to schedule the ultrasound and rheumatologist appointments and was sent in circles. Apparently nobody handles these referrals. I finally just decided to bypass the referral line and call the offices directly to schedule the appointments. Well... the earliest the rheumatologist could see me for a STAT request was over 3 weeks. For the ultrasound, you can’t get anyone on the phone for radiology. You call the appointment line and the transfer you to radiology because radiology schedules their own appointments, and then no one answers the phone and it transfers you back to the appointment line where they transfer you back to radiology where no one answers. Another endless and useless cycle. I eventually just drove back to the office to schedule the appointment or maybe even be seen. I wasn’t even allowed in the building. The nurse out front was rude, dismissing, and lacking any form of compassion. Eventually a nurse from inside came out and was able to get me an appointment. The appointment was almost 2 weeks after my initial urgent care visit, but I was happy to at least finally get an appointment. Well the appointment was supposed to be today. I received a call this morning that they had to cancel my appointment and reschedule for 4 weeks out. So now my appointment for a STAT request will be over 6 weeks from my urgent care visit. Needless to say, I will be going to a different facility to be seen more urgently as my symptoms have now gotten severely worse. And as I’m sure you guessed, I received a call from the nurse stating my tests came back negative for a UTI. So I took those antibiotics for nothing. Up until now I have fought to keep St. Joseph as my network. My PCP is with St. Joseph who I have seen for years and honestly could say nothing but good things about him. In addition, I was hospitalized for 6 days at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo a few years ago and received amazing care. It’s truly unfortunate and discouraging to have received such poor care and lack of treatment from multiple departments at this facility after having such a great history with other St. Joseph’s facilities.
