Took my son here with a knee injury. We weren’t sure if he needed stitches but live a few blocks away so ran here “quick”. The Doctor on duty said he definitely needed stitches and ordered an x-ray. After the x-ray, we sat in the room for a while, almost as if the doctor was on the internet trying to figure out how to do the procedure. When he came back, he was very rough with the wound as he tried to “clean” it. He took out a syringe that was massive and filled the entire thing with lidocaine. I asked if he’s every done this before, as my wife and I were debating on leaving and bringing him to PM Pediatrics or Winthrop. His blank stare should’ve been enough but we were invested with over an hour and a half of him in excruciating pain. The doctor said he had to numb the wound and then stitch. He shove the needle in the wound in every direction and after the 5th time, I told him to stop. My son was screaming in pain but the must noticeable part to me was that he didn’t inject any lidocaine to this point. I again asked if he’s ever done this before because he is continuing to randomly blind stick my sons knee without injecting any lidocaine. His response, for the second time, was “I’m halfway done”. He also stated this after the second prod. He went in one more time and I told him he’s done and we were leaving. Blood was now dripping down my sons leg and asked for gauze or a towel. He was lost. He took his gloves off and wiped the blood with his glove. I let him know he was a clueless A-hole. We carried our son out, went to a location that knew what they were doing and got the proper treatment. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION IF YOU NEED AN ACTUAL DOCTOR!!!
