No walk-ins will be accepted. Patients with an appointment should remain in their cars for testing while limiting possible exposure to others. Call (515)875-9268 to make an appointment. After-hours appointments can also be scheduled online but appointment availability is limited.
Serving as a primary care provider in the West Des Moines area, The Iowa Clinic, West Des Moines Campus sees mostly an appointment-driven patient population, however, they may support walk-in patients during certain hours. It appears as though their practice is routinely open 5 days a week at their clinic located at 5950 University Ave with today's hours being 7:00AM to 7:00PM. It is certainly best to call the clinic to schedule an appointment, or ask about walk-in availability.

I attempted to visit this facility needing urgent care for an infected cat bite. I was unable to reach by phone so I drove there. Was told to go to my car and call in on my cell phone. I didn't have a working cell phone with me. They told me to go home and call. No one asked me why I was there. They had no interest in me as a person, only that the "rules" had to be followed. I sat down and a person that I thought was a nurse came out. I explained to her that I couldn't make an appointment. She asked for my name and if I had been there before. She said she would see what she could do. Apparently, she called security as they came and told me I had to leave. No one even checked as to why I was there.... they did NOT care. I went to the Methodist West Hospital ER and was given intravenous antibiotics because by the time I got there, I had red streaks going up my arm. They really deserve a zero since they did nothing to help me.
