Quest Diagnostics - 1201 E Ridge Rd
Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

Short Wait Time

I’ve visited this urgent care ever since I’ve moved back to the RGV. The first visit was fine and I enjoyed going here. Today I came back because I got worse within the prior time frame of visiting the urgent care. This time a man by the name of Mark charged me and was VERY unprofessional in the manner. It’s a shame that this urgent care hires people like this to help aid those that are sick and need assistance. He was very rude. I don’t recommend him at all to anyone. He couldn’t answer a simple question without a disrespectful comment and tone of voice. Horrible customer service on HIS part. Will refuse him if I choose to go back.

Alamo Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but the infection is more common in some groups. Women under the age of 25, or older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, or a sex partner who has a sexually transmitted infection, should get tested annually. Men who have sex with men should also get tested annually. If you live in Alamo, TX and fit into any of these categories, it's important to get tested regularly.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often called the "silent" infection because most people who have it are not aware of it. According to the CDC, about 75% of infections in women and 50% in men are without symptoms. If left untreated, chlamydia can cause serious health problems, including infertility in women. Regular testing is the only way to know your status and to ensure you receive appropriate treatment if necessary.

In addition to chlamydia, other sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis are also prevalent in Alamo and the surrounding areas.
