Recent patient review

Don't walk, RUN from this business. On several occasions now they have instructed me to do one thing, then contradict themselves and suddenly there are thousands of dollars worth of miscellaneous costs that were not discussed beforehand. Please please please save yourself the trouble. Feels like more of a scam than a dental establishment... Update: after reading other reviews, it's interesting to see I am not the only one thinking Luxe Dental may regularly conduct fraudulent activity. Given the extent of my issue, it may be time to reach out to a lawyer. Again, please stay away. I hope this helps everyone.

Dr. Vakil, Shelly, and the rest of the staff were kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and overall just pleasant to be around! Scheduling an appointment was simple via Solv (Solv handled confirming my appointment and making sure they accepted my insurance!). Great experience end to end!

    Treatment & Services

Dentists help patients maintain their oral health and treat issues involving the teeth, gums, and jaw. One of the most common reasons for seeing a dentist is to have a teeth cleaning and exam, which patients should undergo twice a year. During this exam, a dentist will thoroughly clean your teeth and check your mouth for any developing issues. They may also take X-rays of your mouth to see if there are any problems with decay in crevices they can’t see with the naked eye.

Dentists also fill cavities, perform root canals, pull teeth, and place implants, crowns, or bridges. Many people also go to the dentist for cosmetic services, such as teeth whitening or veneers, which improve the appearance of the mouth. Prices for these services can vary greatly depending on the area; many dentists offer specials for new patients, so you may want to shop around before committing to a particular practice.

    Insurance & Cost

Dental insurance is an option that many people have bundled with their health insurance. If you have dental insurance, it probably follows the 100-80-50 coverage format. This means you’ll get 100 percent coverage for routine preventative care (such as your annual cleaning twice a year), 80 percent coverage for necessary dental procedures (such as fillings or root canals), and 50 percent coverage for aesthetic or major dental procedures (such as crowns or multiple tooth extractions).

For dental insurance that’s offered through an employee or group policy, the average yearly premium is between $228 to $384. Buying dental insurance separately means you’ll pay an average yearly premium of $350. This can save a lot of out of pocket costs for dental care, as the American Dental Association (ADA) estimates that the average American spent $544 on dental care in 2013. Costs for dental care when you’re uninsured can add up quickly, as the ADA estimates that teeth cleanings cost $85, X-rays cost $124, and fillings cost $149. If you need a porcelain crown, this can really break the bank, as they cost an average of $1,000.

    Appointments

The best way to see a dentist is to make an appointment with their office, which you can easily do by using Solv. Solv helps you make a same-day dentist appointment online, eliminating the hassle and letting you get seen by the doctor faster. If you just need a routine cleaning, the visit shouldn’t take long. In fact, the average cleaning lasts between 30 minutes to an hour.

Other procedures, such as root canals or fillings, may take longer but still shouldn’t exceed more than two hours. Most dentists start booking appointments months in advance, as patients often schedule their semi-annual cleanings at the previous visit. A Dentist will have openings for dental emergencies, such as a toothache or chipped tooth. Typically, a dental office is open normal business hours Monday through Friday, although, some dentists may stay open later during the week or on Saturday to cater to those with busy lifestyles.
