Came in with a lot of pain, but Joel’s friendly vibe and humble spirit made me at ease! Lizette (I think was her name) showed care and captured everything I said. X-ray Tech (Megan I think) was patient and thoughtful. Dr. Singh carefully listened and examined my issue with satisfying diagnosis and treatment. The care & respect was received and appreciated. Thank you!

I have been feeling ill for a while. My Dr office couldn't get me for a week. Made an appointment online. Waited for only about 5 min. Everyone at office was great. Got tests done and a breathing treatment done and it was less that an hour from start to finish. My nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and caring. I had an excellent experience

While every other urgent care within 10 miles had 2-4 hour wait times, I was able to make two immediate back to back appointments for my kids. When car troubles set us back 15 minutes, I called ahead and was treated with kindness and compassion. Both Dr. An and the person who checked us in were warm, welcoming, and took the time to listen to and speak with my children and not only me about their symptoms. I am so thankful to have found this clinic and highly recommend them!

Easy check in, Quick wait, In N out Within an hour only because on I need blood work drawn. And my veins weren't given blood today. I just said no, but that's O k, usually it's less than 30 minutes in and out. Cut my paperwork supposed to go to a different clinic. So I can get scans done. And the one of the clinics that they recommended. I've already been to which is nice easy and convenient. And they told me that within 1 to 3 days. I should have results. Also I got a free bottle of water. Which was offered to me. While I was waiting to be seen in my room. Still wait easier than going to the e Still wait easier than going to the ER

The doc and other staff were really nice but a couple things. First, once we got all the way home from appt, the doc called and asked if we could drive back because he forgot to check lungs and heart. We don’t live super far so we did, but it was pretty inconvenient and also felt really odd he just forgot these basic things. Second, he was diagnosed with a concussion but the note we were given for school was really weird and didn’t even mention concussion - just mentioned the accommodations he would need for a concussion… the school nurse was going to call for more clarification because it was written so odd - but this caused more work for everyone so not sure why it wasn’t written clearer from beginning. Other than those things it was a good experience and the doc was caring and friendly.

Getting Tested for STDs in Auburn, WA

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is particularly relevant for those with multiple sexual partners, those who have had unprotected sex, and those who have never been tested before. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested, as STDs can have serious health implications for both the mother and baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for a number of reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not exhibit symptoms, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly transmitting the disease to your partners. Secondly, early detection of STDs can lead to more effective treatment and can prevent serious health complications. Lastly, knowing your STD status can provide peace of mind and can contribute to healthier sexual relationships.

Std testing options in Auburn, WA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

There are numerous urgent care and walk-in clinics in and around Auburn that offer STD testing. For example, Indigo in Federal Way is a highly-rated clinic with a friendly staff and clean facilities. You can book same-day and next-day testing appointments at Indigo through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another excellent option for STD testing. These providers can offer a continuity of care and can provide treatment or referrals if an STD is detected.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those without insurance or who are unable to afford testing, there are free STD testing options available at community health centers in the area. HealthPoint in Kent is one such center that offers STD testing and has received positive reviews for its services.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another convenient option for STD testing. These kits can be ordered online, used in the privacy of your own home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis. The results are typically available within a few days.

Prevalence of STDs in Auburn

Auburn, located in King County, has seen an increase in STD rates in recent years, mirroring a national trend. According to the CDC, the most commonly reported STDs in the area are chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. While these numbers are concerning, they highlight the importance of regular testing and safe sexual practices.

Risk factors related to STDs in Auburn

There are several risk factors that contribute to the prevalence of STDs in Auburn. These include a lack of regular testing, unprotected sex, and having multiple sexual partners. Certain demographics, such as young adults and men who have sex with men, are also at a higher risk. Furthermore, socioeconomic factors such as poverty, substance abuse, and lack of access to healthcare can also contribute to higher STD rates.

For home STD kits, a blood sample, a urine sample, or both are frequently required. Because doctors and nurses have more experience collecting samples, traditional in-office STD testing is the most accurate.
