With only a few walk-in clinics nearby, Wellmont Urgent Care in Norton may be your best option for immediate care inNorton. They are open today from 8:00AM to 8:00PM, as well as 7 days a week. As long as you visit them during their business hours, you should be able to walk right into 601 Commonwealth Dr and be seen relatively quickly. The national average for patients waiting at an urgent care is between 15-30 minutes, so hopefully it shouldn't be too long of a wait.
As part of the Wellmont Urgent Care group, they have a sister facility in Kingsport 28 miles away that you may want to consider if the wait gets too long.

I'm absolutely appalled at how you can go there and absolutely not get any help.... Last month, my daughter, who has a horrendous cough goes in, she's prescribed small kids cough syrup that insurance doesn't even cover but hello... A woman who's 240 lbs? Then my other daughter goes in , negative for Covid19 who has an awful throat ache. Nothing. We go back today because of the pain and pus blisters and swelling, DR doesn't see any pus filled blisters but says they could have been scraped open while nurse did swab but just wants to do a second strep throat test and mano test ( keep a guessing to charge insurance for senseless guessing games) but give her absolutely nothing? I would love people to see the HUGE pus filled bumps in her throat to see how it's puzzling me nobody guesses tonsillitis - or did the nurse have her eyes closed when she swabbed her????? I want this next visit to NOT get billed to our insurance company because I will complain about this! You're supposed to provide medical care, not compile a huge bill with this ridiculous guessing game! That's shameful and just hurting people.
