Institution states they will not take an insurance payment for any type of "physical exam" even if your insurance will pay for it they force you to pay out of pocket. Let you schedule the appointment just to inform you once you've arrived for your appointment and not before hand. This procedure needs to be evaluated and changed. I would recommend so far for any other service.

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs. This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, engage in unprotected sex, or use intravenous drugs. Individuals who have been sexually assaulted should also get tested. It's important to remember that many STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning they show no signs or symptoms. Therefore, regular testing is crucial to ensure early detection and treatment.

Getting tested for STDs is a crucial aspect of maintaining good sexual health. Early detection helps prevent the spread of these diseases and allows for more effective treatment. According to the CDC, undiagnosed and untreated STDs can lead to serious long-term health issues, including infertility, cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Regular testing is also an important part of being a responsible sexual partner, as it reduces the risk of transmitting an STD to others.
