On Wednesday, 10-18-2022, my grandson was seen and diagnosed with Strep Throat by Ms.Sandy Mueller-Brady, PA-C at the Valjoy Beachcare in Surf City, NC. Ms. Sandy was still near Mason when he fainted as he was leaving the office. Between Ms. Sandy and Nurse Tracey, they were able to guide him to the floor, avoiding a head injury. The two superheroes then were able to place Mason who is 6 feet tall and weighs in at 175 lbs. Into a therapy recliner. After waiting in the car, I ventured in to ask Mason for a charge cord and found everyone in the treatment room, Ms. Sandy said that he was dehydrated and when he stood up, his blood pressure dropped significantly. Nurse Tracey and Ms. Sandy had him hooked up to an IV in less than a minute using a pediatric needle because his veins were so flattened due to dehydration. I know in my heart that if he had been anywhere other than near Ms. Sandy, his well-being would have been much different. I truly praise both of these women and the receptionist for recognizing his condition, maneuvering him to the ground, lugging him into a recliner, and providing fluids so quickly. He was as weak as a kitten but I had confidence in Ms. Sandy and he responded well. Mason already loved Ms. Sandy and the team at Valjoy Beachcare but now, we all do! Her demeanor, her brilliance regarding medical knowledge, and her compassion for all of her patients are traits that are hard to find. We are so lucky to have her and her team in our community. I have been using Valjoy for both my own care and my childrens' care for years now. They are unbiased, caring, and will advocate for my special needs as someone with a chronic illness. They also are very quick!

On vacation I cut my hand, they cleaned and stitched it up. Lovely people.

Sandy and her staff are first class! Excellent in diagnosing the illness and very friendly! I recommend them every chance I get.

BEWAREW! Irresponsible behavior. Upon driving, up I saw people coming out of the office with no mask on their faces. When we walked inside, the front desk lady was not wearing a mask either. I questioned her about not having on a mask on in a medical office. She said that she had been vaccinated and therefore did not need to wear a mask. I told her that we had not been vaccinated and that she could still transmit the virus to others; as if she did not already no that??? I asked to speak to the office manager and her reply was, "I will get the owner". At that point I realized that the behavior had to be coming from the top down. I left and will not be returning.

We recently moved full-time to Topsail. We are overjoyed to find this high level of care right here in Surf City. Sandy is now our chosen family physician.
