If I could give this visit zero stars I would. I brought into the facility with me a stool specimen(liquid) collected at home just before I visited the lab. The lab tech told me that that specimen was NOT acceptable and threw it away and then handed me a non sterile plastic hat to collect stool in and a small bottle of fluid to pour the specimen into. I asked why I could not just pour the specimen I brought in into the fluid…..it was about 1 hour old? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I asked if I could use their restroom to collect a new specimen? No. I needed to go home and collect a new specimen and pour that into the fluid and return that to the lab. I ask why?????? What is the difference between the two specimens? I am a local physician. I’ve have sent countless patients here. No more. This was TERRIBLE patient care today. And for no reason.
