Check in, wait time, and the triage nurse was great. She listened. When the NP walked in, everything changed. We explained what was going on with our child, she didn’t seem to listen. We explained a few times, but didn’t feel listened to. We eventually got the treatment needed but it was difficult to get to that point.

The medical assistant and nurse practitioner were friendly, and I have no complaints about the actual medical care. HOWEVER, I needed an excuse for school covering both today and yesterday. They would not provide one, and said the system won't generate one that lists the previous day(s). This is ridiculous. I won't go back.

Was able to book an appointment with ease but that didn't matter because I still waited 3 hours to be seen.

I took my son to this urgent care yesterday because he was inconsolable—running a high fever of 102.8°F, along with nausea and vomiting. What we received was far from appropriate care. The nurse practitioner spent less than four minutes with my son. No thorough physical assessment was performed. Despite his symptoms, she quickly diagnosed him with an ear infection and strep throat—without even performing a throat swab or taking the time to fully assess his condition. Even more concerning, the medical assistant administered the wrong dose of Zofran. He was supposed to receive 2 mg, but instead was given 2 ml, which equals 4 mg—double the correct dose for his weight. She also administered the injection using a large 23-gauge adult-sized needle, which is not appropriate for a small child. I voiced my concerns in the moment after noticing the syringe volume and the large blue needle, but while I was trying to calm and console my son, she proceeded with the injection—completely ignoring my questions. This overdose not only exceeded the safe dosing guidelines for his age and weight, but also put him at risk for QT prolongation, a potentially dangerous heart rhythm disturbance. As for the diagnosis: my son was later correctly diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, a viral illness. Not only was he misdiagnosed, but he was also prescribed antibiotics for a condition that cannot be treated with them. This is not just ineffective—it’s harmful. Unnecessary antibiotics can actually weaken a child’s immune system by disrupting gut flora and reducing his natural ability to fight off the virus. So instead of helping him recover, the incorrect treatment may have made things worse. Had a proper assessment been done—including a full physical exam and a simple throat swab—the correct diagnosis could have been made immediately. Instead, he continued to suffer unnecessarily, was exposed to inappropriate treatment, and received a medication error that could have had serious consequences. I do not recommend this urgent care location. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with careful attention—and unfortunately, that did not happen here.
