I called and made an appointment girl was very nice. Dr. Tonja Keck was very professional and explained everything that was wrong and prescribed the proper medicines. Everything went very smoothly.

doctor came in to tell me what she had prescribed me not reading notes/communicating with other staff beforehand to know i was already on a steroid and doxycycline and did not seem to know what was going on with me even though i had went over it. when she told me she prescribed another antibiotic and i had to inform her again i was already on one, she said “i shouldn’t tell you this but stop the doxycycline” even though she knew i was days into already taking it. she also told me to stop the steroid for some reason. she seemed more worried about getting off the clock and not about my safety and care. my mom and i were baffled a doctor would tell a patient to stop in the middle of a course of antibiotics and literally say “i shouldn’t be telling you this”, and didn’t even care to read the notes to know what i was already taking before making decisions on what to prescribe me. antibiotic resistance isn’t only a huge risk to me individually, but inevitably affects the population as a whole. i’m glad i know better.

I scheduled the appointment to make sure that there was no fracture after an incident 6-8 months ago. I aggravated my wrist working out with heavier weights at the gym. Which has nothing to do with the comment in the assessment from the doctor “normal for age”.  Not sure how Age became a part for the assessment, a copout response.  I discussed this with my neighbor who is a doctor, a friend who is a nurse and the gym owner.   In the end, all I needed was a wrist wrap for lifting heavier weights (advice from the gym owner). It worked! I’m reluctant to go back to that Urgent Care location if I’m not being heard or taken seriously.

Scheduling was simple, showed up early however - ended up waiting over an hour Because front desk forgot to check me in. Seen provider after being rudely triaged and was sent to ER. No issues with provider but everyone else dropped the ball.
