American Family Care, Ft. Oglethorpe

Everything was fine except for billing. We had to pay $190 up front even though we presented a Medicare card. The receptionist said the card wasn't valid and said something about a penalty in the thousands of dollars. We contacted medicare the moment we got home and we're told there is no reason our medicare wasn't accepted unless the number was typed in wrong (she was holding the card) or that the facility is not eligible or possibly not willing to accept medicare. Either way, the experience was enough to make up my mind about any potential issues in the future. What a shame. Even though the PA was a little curt she was friendly enough. But I'm not willing to visit a provider that rejects my medicare that I've worked most of my life for.

Very efficient and friendly. PA listened to all I had to say and was very encouraging. Hopefully my issue was resolved but won't know for another day or so.

Very easy. Everyone from the front desk to discharge was amazing. Very efficient. They wait was very appropriate. Not too long, but long enough to appreciate that the staff spends time with each patient. They do not take my insurance and I would rather pay out of pocket to go to this facility.

The PA and nurse were great! Lady at the front desk had a stick up her butt. Probably not the best person to greet your patients. Good help is hard to find.  I will try somewhere else next time I am sick.

I was at a wedding out of town, and I visited this site at the last minute. I arrived just 30 minutes before closing, and I was so grateful to be seen. There were several patients in front of me, but it moved pretty quickly. Everyone I came in contact with was so nice and very professional. I couldn’t have been happier. I would definitely recommend this provider!

The office was clean & neat. All the staff, from the receptionist to the nurse to the PA were kind, attentive & caring. Not all walk in clinics are a pleasant experience, this one was great, will both use again & recommend to others.

The scheduling was great! Answer a few questions and then had an appointment within 30 minutes! And the staff and De was so great!! Thank you so much for your help and support for us!!

Great and friendly services. In and out in about 30 or 45 minutes.

Waited 40 min for the PA to talk to me for literally one minute and refer me to the wrong specialist. It was a waste of time and money go anywhere else if you want actual care.

I came in with a scratchy throat and had been coughing and sneezing. The sign in time was quick and everyone was attentive to my needs. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
