Terrible service, wait time, and bedside manner. Will not be coming back.

Staff was friendly and pleasant to work considering my illness.

I really think yall should have a better way of checking champ Va patients in. My insurance pays for every visit so I don’t understand if I was there when the doors open at 8 I should have be waited on in that manner. After the room cleared  twice and I’m still waiting. I finally ask what the hold up was. She finally said it my insurance like it shucks and she got to call them for me to be waited on or charge me 300 if she don’t talk to them. Hole situation sucked. I would not recommend champ Va patients come here in you in pain and don’t have a extra 30 minutes to wait for them to verify insurance they treat us like our husbands didn’t fight for this country.

All was fine once we checked in and saw the triage nurse. We did a swab for flu, COVID and strep tests and were sent to wait in the exam room. We waiting for 45 minutes - never did a nurse or doctor come in to check on us. When I poked my head out to check if someone was coming the doctor said she would be just a moment. No one else was in the waiting room when we were there nor did you hear any other people. Swab tests typically come back in 15-20 min at a regular doctors office. Terrible bedside care. The room was also freezing cold.

My elderly mom showed signs of a UTI, and we able to get her in fast.  The staff was very patient with her.

I had a UTI. I was treated very well. Dr. and nurses were very respectful and nice. Highly recommended.

The chairs and equipment in the office were in need of repair. Many of the chairs were cracked and chipped. The staff were kind and professional. The NP was excellent!

Dr Marrota is outstanding.   Thankful for his guidance and help.  Excellent !!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Marotta. I recently saw him during a visit to American Family Urgent Care, and he was truly exceptional from beginning to end. What stood out to me most was his bedside manner. He was kind, attentive, patient, and genuinely interested in understanding what was going on rather than simply checking the obvious boxes and sending me on my way. He took the time to listen to my concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and — most importantly — was willing to look a little deeper when something didn’t quite add up. That level of attentiveness made me feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. It is rare to encounter a physician who combines such strong medical knowledge with such a compassionate and personable approach. Dr. Marotta never made me feel rushed or like just another patient. He explained things clearly, took my concerns seriously, and made sure I understood what he was looking for and why. Beyond being an excellent physician, he is simply a phenomenal person. You can tell when someone truly cares about the people they treat, and that came through in every interaction I had with him. If you have the opportunity to see Dr. Marotta, consider yourself lucky. He is exactly the kind of physician you hope to encounter when you’re not feeling your best — knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and genuinely invested in his patients. American Family Urgent Care is very fortunate to have him, and I would recommend him without hesitation. Dr. Marotta, thank you for taking the time to truly listen and care. Physicians like you make a difference!

Booked a 2:30 appointment and they didn’t see me until 3:30. What’s the point of an appointment when it still takes an hour?
