The doctors are rude and unprofessional. Over the course of 7 years; I was first passed off by dr Kaliani when I requested an HIV preventative medication that is recommended to all gay men regardless of sexual activity. Once she sent me to Dr Mcdonald, he has increasingly made more and more comments about his distaste for my "lifestyle". -what started as micro-aggressions have graduated to full blown discrimination. Complaints are being filed with both the Inova grievance line (703)205-2175 and the Virginia enforcement division 1-800-533-1560. Mcdonald is retiring soon which seems to be why he no longer feels he needs to hide his bigotry but regardless I want it to be known this is not okay.
