Brought my 3 year old son here as a walk in because he was having some difficulty breathing and his at home nebulizer treatment didn’t seem to be helping. We were brought back to triage and then put in a room within minutes. We weren’t left sitting in the room alone for extended periods of time. Everyone was incredibly attentive and kept us informed of all of the treatments my son was getting and why. When we left, we felt like we had a good understanding of how to continue my son’s care at home. The receptionist, the doctor, the nurses, and the techs were all incredibly kind, knowledgeable, caring, and helpful.

My son was running a fever last night! I couldn't wait til morning came to take him to kid med. Yes, he was a walk- in but as soon as I completed the required paperwork, he was checked in in no time!!! Less than 5 mins he was called to the back and was ready to be seen. I have no complaints whatsoever..... Everyone was super friendly, professional, and educated. Thanks KID MED!! Yes, I recommend this provider

The check in process could be better, having to scan a code and wait, if cell service isn’t great this is an issue.  This location specifically is the only KidMed I continue to frequent. I’ve been to the two other Richmond VA locations and had horrible experiences. I’d rather go to patient first or the ER than visit the other offices. Mechanicsville location is the best, so I was happy to find it, upon need last minute pediatric medical care when out pediatricians office was closed. The week day hours could also be better. 1pm open time is t ideal!
