Little miss landed on the edge of the fireplace last night and split open her upper lip. Extremely traumatic for her. She was terrified to need stitches. The moment we got to the check in desk the whole office understood the assignment. Pushed us speedily through the check in process quickly while offering stickers and gentle words to ease my daughter's fear. Quickly got us to a room and dressed the wound and stopped the bleeding. The cut was a bit to big to just get glued but the doctor could see how terrified she was for stitches. She explained the difference between the 2 options perfectly for my daughter to understand, and why stitches was the better choice, but said my daughter could choose stitches or glue. My daughter chose stitches because it was only 5 days till she could go swimming over the 10days it would take for glue. As well as not wanting to risk the wound opening again and having to go back. I could not be more proud of my kid. She was terrified to get stitches, but she overcame her fears and was so incredibly brave...I cannot thank the team over at KidMed enough! They way they truly cared for my daughter's physical and emotional trauma was amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!
