Unprofessional Reception and Follow-up for COVID Testing I came to this location Tuesday afternoon at 3PM for Covid testing. An hour before I had called and spoke with the receptionist who instructed me to enter into the drive thru and someone would come out to assist me. She also confirmed that results can be received within 24 hours but to factor in that samples are picked up in the evening and my results may not be in until Thursday morning. There was one other person waiting when I pulled up. I got out of my car when I got there and went inside to inform the receptionist I was there. Nearly two hours later, both the person there before me and I were still sitting in our cars in the cold waiting!!! The other person had her two small grandchildren waiting with her. I called again as if I were a totally different person wanting to come in. The same receptionist gave me the same instructions but this time said call when you get here. I waited two minutes later and said "I'm here". We still had to wait a little while and THEN a nurse came out. The nurse was kind and very apologetic. She made it known that she was not informed that people were waiting. She and the doctor who took the samples followed through quickly and were great. When I called the next evening to see if results came in I spoke to the same evening receptionist who asked my name and then quickly (without even looking) in the next breath said the results were not in. I am now on the phone the following morning and have been on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for another receptionist to respond after being told she was going to look for results. I had to hang up and call back she still did not have results and could have just made that known on the phone. I was told that the doctor would email them. I have to travel Friday, tomorrow and need results. NOTE TO OFFICE MANAGEMENT - Your reception staff is unprofessional, condescending and short in attitude, and inept at providing information. Any medical situation regardless of whether its a free service or not, especially during a pandemic, deserves professional and orderly handling with staff showing a level of common decency. People deserve better.
