I cut my knee down to the bone, and we have a baby on the way and I was afraid I'd have to go the ER and spend a million bucks. Thankfully the doctors here were able to fix this for me and were AMAZING, and they were able to do everything for only $290 with the self pay discount. They answered the phone nicely and got me honest transparent pricing costs when I asked. John Geno was excellent at doing the stitches, really good skill, it didn't hurt at all even though this cut was down to the bone and hurt like crazy originally. This is a high quality clinic and when I had a time of emergency/need, they didn't take advantage at all, they gave high quality medical skill/service at a totally reasonable cost. And again, John's one of the nicest doctors I've ever talked to. Nurses were nice. Highly recommend!!

The service itself was fine. The comment here is surrounding the cold, uncaring response that was given to their clerical error in billing. I had the money to pay the bill, so this is not a whine or complaint about the cost of medical care. This is based on their procedures when they make mistakes (which obviously, they did). They falsely claimed they charged my card in August, but when I called my bank, I confirmed what I saw in my online statement, no charge was made. They then stated they sent me several notices, none of which I received. They then sent me to collections without warning. I got the notice from collections, and because I honestly had no idea what the bill was for, I called Patient First. They gave me the hardest stiff arm I have ever received from a billing department. They told me I should now contact the collection agency, that they cannot rescind the request for collections, and that my wife had signed some document that said that. They also said I can get it rescinded through the collections agency, and to talk to a supervisor. Well I did, and shocker, they lied. The supervisor said that Patient First does this to them often, puts the onus on them when they know full well that 1) They CAN rescind it and 2) The collection agency CAN NOT. I will never go there again. I have plenty of choices in NOVA. Own your mistakes, Patient First.

This was a very disappointing experience. My wife had been experiencing abdominal and pelvic pain. We sat nearly two hours before we were seen by the physician assistant after the tests. Although the wait was tolerable; the level of empathy and care from the physician assistant (Elisa M. Bell) when we finally got to see her was a BIG disappointment. She was stern, brief, and the results were inconclusive. She insisted that my wife had a bladder infection based on the white blood cell counts and went on to prescribe antibiotics. She recommended that we just go to the ER. We had questions we wanted to ask but she told us that she would answer our questions after she was done imputing information into the computer. After she was done with the computer work she simply walked out and never returned, perhaps it had something to do with the fact that it was 10pm and they were locking up the clinic. Few minutes later a nurse came in and told us we were done and that we could leave. The PA never returned to answer any of our questions. Disappointed and in fear we went to the ER immediately at Inova Loudoun Hospital. The disparaging fact is the ER Dr. at Inova reviewed my wife test results and didn’t think she had a serious bladder infection, he concluded that the white cell count was merely slightly higher than normal but would NOT recommend antibiotics as prescribed by PA at Patient First. Our experience at Patient First was extremely disappointing, we felt like we were being rushed out because it was closing time. We waited and was greeted with a stern and unsympathetic physician. We were misprescribed antibiotics that she didn’t need. And we were billed $350 for inconclusive results and a terrible experience. We will never return and would not recommend this clinic for anyone who loves their family members; empathy and care should not be an option in healthcare.
