I was in massive pain due to what I thought was a sprained thumb. Turns out I had a "nail biters" infection, and I wasn't a nail biter. Doc did everything possible to make a very painful ordeal as quick as possible and prescribed the right meds for after care considering I couldn't take certain pain relievers. I would totally revisit.

I had never been to any type of Urgent Care so had no clue how it worked.  I was in Augusta so googled Urgent Care and chose Physicians United Urgent Care based on the reviews and it was 5 stars right away!  The staff at the front desk were friendly and listened to my issue.  It wasn’t long before the Nurse Practitioner ~ Sarah came in and we chatted about why I was there.  Talk about empathetic!  She knew exactly how I felt and what to do.  She gave me a course of treatment and I felt so relieved when I left.  The entire staff was wonderful.  Hopefully I’ll never need to go to one again but if I do ~ I’ll make the trip to Augusta to go there.

Feeling bad for a couple of days. However became worse on day three with sore throat and ear pain along with cough, nasal congestion and headache. When to Physicians United Urgent Care didn’t have a long wait time and was taken care shortly after registration.

My check in process went fine and I was seen immediately. I was told I’d be sent information digitally and wasn’t. I wasn’t told what medication I’d be prescribed either. I understood I was the last patient, but my prescription should’ve been sent after my appointment. I’ve been here once before, but last night was definitely my last time.

Scheduling was easy as I did it online. Appointment was scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Had to wait about 30 minutes to get in to see Sarah, the provider. The nurse practitioner was very thorough and answered all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed. The rest of the staff was friendly as well.

I had issues getting an appointment with my doctor. I googled urgent care and saw Urgent Care was LGBTQ+ friendly and black owned, as well as highly rated. I scheduled an appointment the same day, was seen and taken care of. A great experience and works absolutely recommend!

I booked an appointment the day before and saw that all appointments were available so I was surprised that the waiting room was packed with walkins that all got to go before me. The whole experience took about 3 hours. Once I did see the dr., he was rude and condescending and didn’t seem interested in actively listening to me. I felt I had to push to make sure he took me seriously and then he was annoyed with me. He didn’t explain what the medications were that he was prescribing me but said things like “I’ll give you the peals for the cough” like I should know what that means. He asked me if I wanted a medication I’ve never heard of and when I said what is that  he told me it was something for if I’m prone to yeast infections in a tone like I was being dense. He moved on and never brought it back up deciding it wasn’t worth the effort to explain why I might need that. I’m sure he was exhausted from a long day but it was a hard time being sick with the over 2 hour wait to then be treated like I was wasting his time.  The other staff were kind and seemed to actually care about the people there.

I was able to check in online and be seen by a doctor in less than 20 minutes. Staff is always concerned and courteous. Love the ease of flow in this clinic. I would highly recommend this clinic. My doctor had some of the best bedside manners ever.
