Wait time took about an hour which is the longest I ever waited at PM pediatrics. Staff was polite and helpful. More frustrating was the new check in procedures. My son has been to pm pediatrics numerous times and I feel like the information being requested is already on file. Also when asked to take a photo of ID and insurance card there should also be an upload picture option.

The check in process was very complicated. I wasn’t sure if I had to reserve a covid test appointment or a regular appointment. Tire kept saying I wasn’t confirmed even though I filled in the forms multiple times. My son was the sick patient but I requested a slot for both him and my daughter to get tested. Even though my son was sick and I request appointments for him first, my daughter was called first. Then when I was. Waiting in the lobby, another sanity was called into wait as well. The receptionist asked a vague question - what as the name of the other child/ parent though I wasn’t sure if the question was directed at me or this other mother. The other mother answered so I assumed it was meant for her. Then the receptionist said that the child was with me even though he wasn’t. She said - yes he is but he has a different last name... HE WAS WITH ANOTHER PARENT!! And not even sitting with me. It’s was clear she thought we were together because we were both Asian. I literally checked in (as best as I could given to he crappy system) with 2 kids, 1 boy/ 1 girl SAME LAST NAME. Lastly, the nurse that attended to us was unclear about the testing. She made it unclear I if I could even get a test. But I finally did get the test, she rammed the swab up my son’s nose and got it stuck there. He was certainly traumatized. It was just subpar service all around. Dr was fine though. No issues with her and she was nice.
