I just want to make it own that at a medical facility of any kind especially during a pandemic like we are currently in it is best advised to check vitals (temp, BP, OXYGEN LEVEL, hr, etc) upon arriving in the building. It could honestly save a life. My father was sick with mild symptoms-low grade temp, congestion, slight cough came here for what we thought would be a quick chest xray some med, possibly a shot and then return home visit so we arrived at 228pm where I signed him in while he waited in the car (didnt feel like walking) and I gave the reasoning for being there and receptionist said ok we will call wait in the car but no one bothered to ask how he looked or check his vitals. 340pm I walk back in to see how much longer she says about 30 mins and I get back toward door well dad is walking in they had called him. Get him to the back, nurse checks temp its 99, BP 137/83 112pulse and o2 sat 87%. I have her check every finger still high 80s she says we need to go to the ER. We leave at 350 to head to ER where we find out he is covid positive and has bilateral pneumonia. We waited in that parking lot for an hr and half with his oxygen level being in the 80s when we could have already been at ER if they would have done one simple task which is triage patients for vitals upon arriving at facility. He could have sat in the car and died and no one would have ever known. That could possibly save a life and thats what medicine is suppose to be about.
