Came in with an animal bite and left put back together, with a full plan of care and feeling great about recovery. AFC is awesome and one of the most affordable urgent care clinics in the downtown Houston area. 5 stars all around!

They were very busy when I got there, so I had to wait quite a while. But they were very friendly, helpful, skilled, and informative.

Came in for sinus issues. My blood pressure read abnormally high so the nurse got the doctor. I told them I’d been sick for a week and my BP runs high at the doctor’s office due to white coat syndrome. The doctor immediately came in and told me I was having a hypertensive emergency without asking me any questions or examining me. He kept questioning me if I had high blood pressure and I kept saying I didn’t know. I was worried, crying, and confused and the doctor’s bedside manner never improved. I didn’t show any of the sympotoms of a hypertensive emergency. No chest pains, no trouble breathing, no racing heart, no headache – nothing. They ended up not treating me because they didn’t have the medicine to lower my blood pressure. They told me to go to a different urgent care that has the medicine (how am I supposed to know which one has the meds??) or to an ER. I had to ask where to go. They didn’t formally refer or call ahead or proactively have any resources available to me. They let me walk out crying and ostensibly experiencing a hypertensive emergency to drive myself to a different provider. Luckily, I found out later that I was not having an emergency and had to get a regular sinus infection treated at an ER.  Absolutely chaotic, unnecessarily stressful experience that would’ve made any emergency I could have been having much worse. I will never set foot back in this urgent care ever again.

I walked in , checked in, went to the triage . Was put in a room, the physician came in and greeted me. We spoke about my condition, he was given a removal kit for stitches and he removed them and clean my finger  put a bandage on it. And I was done . It took about 20 minutes. Wow great job 👏🏽 I really love the promptness

Arrived with sore throat, horrible cough. The staff greeted me right away, checked me in, with little wait time. Doc/Nurses were very attentive and carefully listened to my issues. Came back with a follow up and was prescribed medications that helped with my illness. Was in and out, smooth process, and efficient customer service. Would highly recommend!
