Practioner had already decided on a diagnosis before entering exam room. She told me a bunch of treatment options that I am already doing. When I asked if it could be a sinus infection.  Was told absolutely not that it was just allergies.  Told me to to take Claritin and Benadryl together.  When you research that it says they should not be taken together.

Just got back from traveling out of town, was feeling under the weather, maybe a sinus infection. Went in, the nurse kind of assumed my symptoms and filled in generic stuff like cough, sore throat, etc., tested me for standard things like Covid, flu, and strep. Those came back negative and the nurse practitioner or pa (unsure which) came in and told me it was allergies. She didn’t look in my ears, touch my lymph nodes, or check my throat until we mentioned my throat wasn’t red when we looked ourselves. Prescribed Zyrtec which I can get myself. Overall a waste of my co-pay and ended with no answers. A shame that they did not even examine me, didn’t check my lungs, nose or anything. Only my throat after we pulled teeth to bring it up.

The person who worked me up lacked bedside manner, I didn’t feel like a patient who was being treated with care. The NP was very friendly & made up for his lack but I was pissed 92% of my visit because of him
