Atlanta Urgent Care, Peachtree Buckhead

Woke up yesterday with a sore throat and cough and I came in today for urgent care it was a good wait , I didn’t mind because the lady at the front was nice and the doctor was amazing as well

Great bedside manner & I was able to get treatment quickly.

I was disappointed with my overall experience. I attempted to schedule my appointment online, but it was canceled and then double-booked, which was frustrating from the start. The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming, and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, the experience after being taken back was quite different. Communication was minimal, and I was left waiting in the room for over 30 minutes without an update. When I needed to use the restroom, I couldn’t find anyone to ask for directions. I followed a restroom sign that had no indication it was for staff only. When I came out, the staff member who had taken me back immediately informed me that it was for staff only in a manner that felt unnecessarily condescending. I apologized, as it was an honest mistake, but the interaction left me feeling as though I had been scolded for something I had no way of knowing. After waiting over 30 minutes, I also felt uncomfortable simply asking how much longer I would need to wait. He replied like my question was unreasonable. When I left the room he was standing there and didn’t tell me which way to exit or say anything.  I really like Dr. Ferrara, which is why I choose this urgent care and makes this experience particularly disappointing. However, good patient care involves more than the doctor alone. Communication, professionalism, and making patients feel comfortable and confident in their care matter, too. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of my expectations, and I will likely look elsewhere for future appointments.

I was passing through Atlanta while on tour. I was having an issue with my leg. The entire staff here were very helpful and genuinely seemed to care that I received the care I needed. They went out of their way to see that I was able to get an ultrasound the same day.

I was the only one there but it still took about 30 min to get seen. The Doctor had terrible bedside manner and was not gentle at all. I only left Piedmont urgent care because they didn’t take my insurance. I was seen in Buckhead and he was trying to send me to Lawrenceville for a follow up. That’s more than an hour away.

Ultimately, I did receive appropriate treatment and I am feeling better, which I appreciate. However, I was disappointed with the provider’s bedside manner and the overall evaluation. He seemed uninterested in what I was saying, cut me off several times, and made the visit feel very rushed, even though there was no one else in the waiting room at the time. He looked at my throat and ears, but the exam only lasted a few seconds, which left me questioning whether they were thoroughly assessed. He also had a stethoscope but never listened to my heart or lungs. I understand that not every complaint requires an extensive exam, but I came to urgent care because I was sick and wanted to be properly evaluated. Again, I’m grateful that the treatment ultimately helped and I am feeling better, but I would have appreciated a more attentive and thorough examination and better bedside manner from the provider. I would have preferred not to have seen a midlevel provider.

Took forever to see someone - almost 45 min of waiting even though I had an appointment.

I injured my finger and walked to the urgent care. I was in the waiting room for less than 15min and was nicely greeted and cared for immediately. Staff was amazing and informative. I would recommend you all to anybody seeking urgent care
