Absolutely the worst medical experience I’ve ever had. I rarely go to doctor-my appendix burst before I ever went to doctor which should tell you how I tolerate pain. However, I have had what I thought was an ear infection with ear pain and discomfort for over a week. I thought I could go get it checked and get drops or an antibiotic. I waited over an hour for her to spend less than five minutes with me and said it was probably fluid and I just need to chew gum!!! Absolutely ridiculous that they allow her to work as a doctor!!! So I’m out of pocket my copay and still have no resolution!! I certainly understand the low ratings now-wish I would have looked before going in!!

Absolutely abysmal service and a farce of a healthcare facility. A prime example of the utterly dysfunctional state of healthcare in the United States. My fiance clearly broke the tip of her finger after dropping a large log on it. She has small fingers and broke the tip of a different finger several years ago which was promptly seen to by an urgent care facility in North Carolina. When we arrived at Baptist Health Urgent Care it was busy but began to clear out while we waited 35 minutes. When we were finally called we were told they weren't doing x-rays today. We asked if they did x-rays tomorrow. After 2 minutes of silence, a new answer came back and had completely changed to: "we don't do x-rays here". Okay, unlikely story, but fine. Our next question: "Last time she broke a finger and had swelling like this a different urgent care facility was able to drain her fingernail and provide a splint which relieved a lot of her pain. Can we see a doctor that could assess if something like this could be done?". Silence for another 2 minutes. The answer came back: "well we don't do that here". We answered: "Okay, do you work with another facility that would see her?". She immediately answered back: "No, you have to go to the emergency room". Who goes to the emergency room for a broken fingertip? That is what urgent care is FOR. What DO they actually DO at this facility? Clearly, they don't actually do urgent care. False advertising, a joke. This is the only urgent care center covered by my fiance's insurance in 140 miles. If everyone with a painful but non-life-threatening injury went to the ER, it would be impossible for deathly ill people to get care. Not to mention this is the middle of a PANDEMIC and ERs are already full of deathly ill and highly contagious patients. This is absolutely ludicrous. We are now trying to see if we can get insurance so we can avoid ALL Baptist Health doctors and facilities. We will NEVER give the Baptist Health system a dime after this experience. There are other healthcare providers in the area which literally can't be any worse. It is literally impossible to get any worse than refusing to provide any healthcare whatsoever.
