Care for Kids, Primary Care - Humble

The doctor takes a very long time to arrive, and if your child is scheduled for vaccines, be prepared for a long wait. You definitely need to arrive well in advance and bring plenty of patience. The only downside is that the patients are children, and they often don’t understand why they have to wait so long.

The receptionist I encountered was very rude and unwelcoming. I had scheduled a newborn appointment and entered all of my Medicaid information online beforehand. I also called when I booked the appointment and spoke with a different receptionist who was extremely kind, helpful, and informative. She confirmed that I would not have to pay for the visit. When I arrived, I encountered an older receptionist whose attitude was completely different. I walked through the door right around my 9:00 a.m. appointment time, and before I could even make it to the desk, it had turned one minute past 9:00. I told her that my appointment was for 9:00 a.m., and she responded, “I’m sorry, you’re a minute late. There are no exceptions. We will have to reschedule you.” Her tone was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. What made the situation even more frustrating was that she then told me she could add me back onto the schedule for the same day because that time slot was still available. I explained that my newborn son is covered under my Medicaid and that I had already provided all of the insurance information. She then told me that I would still have to pay $150 in order for him to be seen that day. Because this was my newborn’s appointment and I wanted him to be seen, I paid the $150. Once I spoke with the doctor and explained what had happened, she informed me that I should not have been charged and issued me a refund. I chose to continue with this facility because everyone else I interacted with was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. However, the experience with this particular receptionist was extremely disappointing, especially considering this was a newborn appointment. Patients should not be treated rudely over being one minute late, nor should they be incorrectly charged after providing valid Medicaid information.

I would recommend this place! Very clean and staff if friendly and helpful. I love how the it is spacuois, especially the rooms.

This was my 3rd time driving her for the same appt and still was not seen. I called and requested to speak to the manager and they told me I would receive a call back the same day and never nothing. Discharge paperwork shows I left without treatment and that’s very far from the truth!

Not the first ti.e coming for care there. And it certainly won't be the last time scheduling an appointment there. The staff is so professional, kind and friendly. The level of care there is AWESOME. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.
