My health insurance did not yet have my wife in their system the day we went although she was newly-covered as of 10 days prior to the appointment. So I told the receptionist we would pay the $199 and just file ourselves. They treated her and she got better quickly. When I started to enter the claim, the insurance site required billing code, treatment code, and tax id number. So I called their billing center, which is a corporate call center. The person I talked to said “She signed the self pay form, which clearly states we use codes that the insurance company won’t recognize, so you won’t be able to file a claim.” She indicated that there’s no appeal and that the form my wife signed is the last word. I pushed to talk to someone higher and she said she’s the end of the line. I am continuing my appeal and will report them to the state consumer affairs office.

I would not recommend them, after being told my husband would have a 2-3 hr wait we waited over 5 hours, watching other walk ins be taken ahead of him before asking why, to be told that unless there was a cancellation he wouldn't be seen until 8 pm ( closing time ? ) and that any regular walk in would continue to be taken before him, we left, he was not seen
