I asked for 5000 unit vitamin D, doctor said : you got it! Then I went to CVS 4 times. It’s been a week now. Still don’t have my prescription in CVS I requested! I want a refund from my appointment! Wasted my time and copayment!

I needed a doctor today but because I testing positive for Covid 7 days ago, I opted for a video visit as to not put any one else at risk. The online scheduling and the 10 minute wait on hold was fine what was not fine was that the physicians assistant that I ended up having an appointment with who left me very frustrated and still needing help with the issue I booked the appointment for. I think she decided in the first minutes of our call was that I had sinusitis and needed antibiotics.. I told her my mucus is clear but she mentioned more than once that “because my mucus was discolored” each time I told her “no its clear” she kept going back to calling me in an antibiotic.. I expressed a need for pain relief for migraine multiple times and clearly its what I stated in my online scheduling as the reason for my visit. I haven’t had a moment of relief for my head in 3 days. She said to alternate with Motrin and Tylenol to which I told her tearfully that’s what I had been doing with no relief. She said “well after you’re on the antibiotics for 48hrs or so you should get relief”. At this point I told her I didn’t understand why she wasn’t hearing me, that I needed help with pain relief today and I didn’t understand why she wouldn't offer it..She said “that’s what Im doing by calling in the antibiotic” which just left me quite honestly at a loss. I don’t think I have Sinusitis, I think I have Covid. I do have a history of migraine headaches and for me to reach a point to make an appointment it is because I simply can’t tolerate it any further. In this instance this migraine is much worse than what I usually deal with. For reference I am a relatively healthy 54 yr old woman. I don’t go to the Dr often and when I do its because I really am ill. I have used this clinic exclusively for many years so a simple look at my chart would show my history. I realize that doctors are hesitant to prescribe narcotics and I fully understand why but I also don’t think I should be having to be in the amount of pain I am when a simple look at my established patient records with you would show I am not abusing the system or asking for treatment I shouldn’t be given. It was a total fail in my humble opinion. Without a doubt I can say I would never again opt for an online doctor visit.

I understand it was hectic, but I was forgotten about and my case closed. It was an hour after I spoke with the provider before I got my test. I wouldn’t have mined so much but the lack of communication and having to use the restroom made it a bad experience. The only good part was the Dr was kind and the nurse that swabbed me actually calmed me down with her kindness. Y’all aren’t bad, but you know you’d be upset too if that same thing happened.
