Appt was at 2:15. Finally called back at 3:20. Nurse and PA very nice. Nurse at front desk was called in to flush my ear. I had vertigo plus ear was full of wax. She started to flush and I said the water is to be warm, correct. She said it is. I said the water is ice cold. She said feel the bottle. It is warm. I said the water is ice cold. I repeated again that it was getting colder so therefore wax would not release. Then came a pain I never want to feel again, felt like a shooting needle. She put the bottle down, started walking out the door and said to PA that I couldn’t tolerate the pain. I was so sick or I would have told her what I thought. My ear was now bleeding and it really scared me. Wax still in there along with blood clot. I should have gone to the er or waited to see the family doctor tomorrow. Now I need to see my ENT this week if I can even get in. I will never go there again. If a patient says the water is ice cold you should check it with your skin and not keep flushing with ice cold water. I booked appt online. PA was awesome. She said they never had a patient’s ear bleed before.
